Saying goodbye to summer. Reflecting on August and the creativity and inspiration during this month.
I've been working on a few different things aside from my paintings. Some film and animation.
I have also been continuing to grow interested in literature, reading and writing small poems.
Here is the artwork I've been working on recently. I've started working on a pet portrait commission, which I'm working on creating a landscape background for. I also made good progress on my roses painting and lemon. I have also enjoyed art journalling aside from big projects and enjoying the sunshine.
I've spent time outdoors running and enjoying nature, being inspired to live healthy, physically and mentally.
I'm happy to have had time to enjoy summer and great full for such a creative season. I have been very productive creatively and am aware that I slow down slightly as the temperature cools. However there is much about Autumn that I'm looking forward to.
I have also been getting out to see some live music and in seeing art, as well as learning to play guitar.
September has been really busy so far. I am keen to organise projects and idea's making the most of my time in the most productive way. Continuing to learn and develop as an artist in the many skills needed to continue. I'm really great full to be able to be an artist and living a life pursuing my goals.
Focus on good things. Time spent learning is never time wasted.
Happy September,
Gemma Bradshaw.
