The colours are beautiful, and the vibrant orange background has been selected and created using brown paper as a reference. Colour changed from brown paper in the reference image to be painted in a cadmium orange to create contrast and boldness complimenting the lemon yellow, green, and blue shades. Cadmium orange is artist Gemma Bradshaw's favourite paint colour as this she feels brightens a room and enhases and positive mood. Created using specially selected painting mediums with high-quality pigmented oil paints on canvas. Painting created using artists' own reference photo/still life staged imagery. Colour and detail worked on in many, many layers of different glazes of thin oil mixes to create 3D shape and realistic light and shadow. The painting is a one-of-a-kind piece, produced using oil painting techniques in Kent the United Kingdom.
